Art in Words
Join us to write about art as you experience Mia’s collection, exhibitions, and lectures. In this series of adventurous classes, Arleta Little, a writer and the executive and artistic director at the Loft Literary Center, will help you explore ekphrastic writing—a style of writing that uses vivid language to describe a work of visual art.
The monthly classes consist of discussions, exercises, and workshops where you’ll generate new writing and share comments and responses, both verbally and in writing. This program is open to writers of all genres and levels, from the occasional journal keeper to published authors.
Take one class or the whole series! Come prepared to move around the galleries, and bring a notebook and pencil.
Free; registration required.
