Teacher Workshops: Making Connections at Mia

Join us at Mia for a free in-person workshop in July to explore ways you can integrate artworks from Mia’s collection into your classroom or a museum visit to support new standards in art and social studies, including ethnic studies.
In each workshop, Mia educators will model ways to support select standards and benchmarks with conversations and activities focused on diverse artworks in the collection. Teachers will also spend time in the galleries and on Mia’s website to identify additional artwork to support their lesson planning.
All participants will receive a slide deck with all of the lead and supporting images for you to adapt to your classroom lessons.
